What style and vibe do you want?
Lisbon is a very diverse city, with beaches and bays for relaxation, museums for culture and plenty of historical sites for history buffs.
The vibe of Lisbon depends largely on where you’re staying. If you’re looking for an upscale hotel with a luxurious feel, the Montigo Palace Hotel is perfect.
They boast an award-winning spa, beautiful views of the Lisboa skyline and some of the best dining options in town.
If you’re looking to party like a rock star without spending too much money, head to Luxe City Quarters located right off Rossio Square – it’s got all the clubs and bars you could want right at your fingertips. Plus, they’ve got great restaurants nearby if you get hungry during the night. And it’s close to everything so you don’t have to worry about any kind of transportation.
The Sheraton, Lisbon also has a lot going for it, including direct access to metro stations, free WiFi in rooms and meeting space which can be rented out by the hour or day. It might be more expensive than some other locations but their location makes them worth checking out.
The Aviz Hotel has old world charm mixed with modern amenities that make it ideal for business travelers who want something different than the average high rise hotel experience.
And if what you’re looking for is amazing food and wine (and who isn’t), this is your place! You’ll find 3 Michelin stars awarded here, in addition to 40 other national awards and prestigious recognition from organizations such as Forbes Travel Guide. Definitely one of the best hotels in Lisbon Portugal!
What type of amenities do you need?
A hotel has a lot of different amenities that can make or break the experience for guests. There are many different types of amenities, but some of the most important ones are comfort, location, and service.
Comfort is a big one- it’s nice to have clean sheets and pillows and not worry about whether or not bedbugs will show up. Location is also a big factor because you want to be close enough that you’re able to walk around the city while still being far enough away so that it isn’t too noisy at night.
And service is really important because if someone doesn’t speak English or they seem grumpy, then it’s easy for them just ruin your entire experience. So it’s always good to look for places with great reviews from previous customers.
That way you’ll know what kind of place you’re getting before actually booking it. But don’t worry, there are plenty of great hotels here in Lisbon! Some of my favorites include the Hotel Mundial, The Bossa Nova Hotel Lisbon, and Casa da Música Lisboa Hostel.
All three offer great views and are located in prime locations near historic sites, restaurants, parks, transportation options, etc. One thing I love about these hotels is how clean they are- I’ve been to a few places where I’m paranoid when I go into the bathroom because I’m afraid of catching something.
Not at these hotels though! They all provide excellent customer service as well which makes me feel very comfortable staying here. In addition, they all have restaurants within their property so you never have to leave (except for sightseeing purposes) if you’re not feeling like eating out!
How do you choose between hotels, hostels, or Airbnb apartments?
Deciding between a hotel, hostel, or Airbnb can be difficult. The first thing you’ll need to decide is what type of budget are you looking for?
Are you looking for a comfortable place with daily room service and breakfast included, or do you want something more budget-friendly with shared bathrooms? Once you’ve decided on a budget, it’s time to start your search.
Hotels are usually a good choice if convenience and service are important to you. Hostels offer the cheapest prices but may not have the same level of luxury as hotels.
If you’re traveling with friends or family and want some extra room space, an Airbnb apartment might be the perfect option for you! You’ll still have access to a kitchen and all the amenities you could ever ask for, while also having plenty of space.
When choosing a place to stay, don’t forget about location! You will most likely want to consider how close the hotel or Airbnb is from tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, public transportation etc. Location will make or break your trip so choose wisely!
Are there any deals worth looking into?
If you are looking for the perfect place to spend a few days or even a week or two, there is no shortage of options. From charming bed and breakfasts, family-owned inns, and boutique hotels – they’re all here.
It really doesn’t matter what you are looking for – whether it be an escape from city life, an outdoor adventure, or just some time with friends and family. You can find it all right here in Lisbon!
Each one of these accommodations has something different to offer so don’t think that this list is exhaustive. There’s always more out there if you keep looking. I hope you enjoy getting lost in the search!
